More agricultural deliveries from Ukraine

From March to April 2022, the Austrian Rail Cargo Group (RCG) organised grain trains from Ukraine to Germany every second day, transporting a total of 60,000 t of grain during this period. Currently, RCG is running grain trains three times a week from Cierna (Slovakia) to Brake (northern Germany) via Slovakia, Czechia, Poland and Germany. A train is about 480 m long and carries 2,000 t of grain.

The railfreight company is planning to further expand its agricultural deliveries from May 2022. For at least three months, RCG will run one goods train a day - a total of 25 trains per month - with agricultural products from Ukraine to Germany. Five trains per month will remain in Czechia and Slovakia. (ben)
