MOL elects chairman and president
The Japanese shipping company Mitsui O.S.K. Lines (MOL) has announced the appointment of Junichiro Ikeda as new chairman and of Takeshi Hashimoto (photo) as new president.
The company had decided to renew the top management and introduce new objectives as a response to significant changes in the business environment and in global supply chains as the industrial sectors move towards decarbonisation.
Ikeda, currently representative director, president and CEO, and Hashimoto, representative director, executive vice president and executive officer, will take over their new roles on 1 April 2021. Hashimoto joined MOL in April 1982. (amh)
