Menzies makes entry in Malaysia
Menzies Aviation has secured a new ground handling licence to deliver cargo, passenger, ramp and cargo services at Kuala Lumpur international airport (KUL). Menzies Aviation Malaysia - a joint venture with Malaysian supply chain management company, MMAG Holdings - will begin delivering ground handling services at the airport from January under the twelve-month licence.
This marks the first time that Menzies Aviation has operated in Malaysia, representing a significant increase in the company’s footprint in Southeast Asia.
KUL, operated by Malaysia Airports, is the largest and busiest airport in Malaysia. Last year, it managed 980,040 t of cargo, welcomed 47.2 million passengers and counted 819,026 aircraft movements. (ah)
