Menzies Aviation has secured a major three-year contract with Air India, providing ground handling and cargo services at eight locations on four continents. Services will include passenger, ramp, de-icing and cleaning operations at LHR, CPH, YYZ, KWI and LAX. In the first year, Menzies will handle at least 4,100 turns, with growth expected.

Additionally, Menzies will offer cargo warehouse services at KWI, DFW, SYD and MEL, managing approximately 9,000 t of cargo in the first year. Air India, a leading global airline, transported 295,000 t of cargo in 2024 and continues to expand its fleet and network.

Menzies also unveiled a 22,760 sqm greenfield domestic cargo terminal at Kempegowda airport in Bengaluru, in southern India. Designed for efficiency and sustainability, the facility can handle up to 360,000 t of cargo at peak capacity. It integrates advanced technology and eco-friendly practices, supporting India’s growing airfreight industry. (ah)
