Marcel de Nooijer appointed CEO Transavia Netherlands

Marcel de Nooijer has been appointed CEO Transavia Netherlands, effective 1 January 2020. He succeeds Mattijs ten Brink, who left Transavia on 30 September 2019. De Nooijer is currently executive vice president Air France-KLM Cargo and managing director at Martinair.

"I would like to thank de Nooijer for his commitment to Air France-KLM Group Cargo over the past few years," said Benjamin Smith, CEO of Air France-KLM. "With Transavia as one of our group's core brands, recognised and valued by its customers for its creativity in the low cost market, de Nooijer's experience will prove an undeniable asset for the development of Transavia Netherlands."

Pieter Elbers, president and CEO of KLM, added: "In recent years, de Nooijer has led the Air France-KLM freight division, with a successful digital transformation and improvement of the operational results at KLM Cargo. We are pleased that with him we have a new Transavia Netherlands CEO who will be able to build on Transavia in the coming years". (mw)
