Mammoth Freighters conversion agreement with STS
Mammoth Freighters has signed a deal with the MRO provider STS Aviation Services to carry out passenger-to-freighter conversions for the Mammoth 777 programme. All work will be accomplished at STS’ facility in Manchester (England), with the multi-year agreement covering both B777-200LR and B777-300ER units.
The STS facility will also provide Mammoth with AOG, product support and spares provisioning throughout Europe. STS acquired the Manchester facility, its third facility in the UK, earlier this year, as part of its expansion efforts. Mammoth will begin inducting B777s for modification at the facility in mid-2024.
Mammoth says that its converted B777s are amongst the most productive and economical B777 long-range freighters in the world. (cj)
