Luxury contract for Wincanton
In UK, luxury lifestyle retailer The “White Company” has contracted Wincanton for a period of five years, which includes an outsourcing element.
The cooperation is beginning immediately via multi-channel fulfilment services, including international e-commerce order fulfilment, store replenishment for its footprint in UK and Ireland of over 60 stores, and value-added services for around 1.6 million customers annually.
Initially, Wincanton will manage The White Company’s existing warehouse facility in Swan Valley, Northamptonshire. Over the course of the next 18 months, the provider will oversee the migration of the retailer’s central warehousing and distribution operations to its own e-fulfilment facility at Rockingham. As part of this move, around 175 colleagues, primarily engaged in fulfilment and warehousing services, will transfer from the client to join the 20,000-strong Wincanton team. (sh)
