LTG Cargo extends its intermodal service

Lietuvos Geležinkeliai Group’s freight company LTG Cargo has launched regular intermodal cargo services on the route between Kaunas (Lithuania) and Slawkow (Poland). The first trains are already running in both directions twice a week.

Until now, cargo was shipped to the terminal in Poland only upon inducement, at a customer’s specific request. Customers will also be able to transport cargo to the Pruszkow terminal located right outside Warsaw (Poland), since the trains on the Kaunas – Slawkow route will make an intermediate stop there.

LTG Cargo will be the operator of the intermodal services on both Lithuanian and Polish territory. One train trip will be able to carry up to 42 containers and 90 teu. (ben)
