LNG filling station inaugurated
Swiss truck manufacturer Iveco has inaugurated its first LNG filling station on its premises in Muttenz near Basel. The station was set up in partnership with Gasverbund Mittelland.
Iveco is leasing the site, while Gasverbund Mittelland will be responsible for operations and handling. The filling station is open to the public. Initially, customers will be able to pay for the fuel with a Gascom card.
Iveco is currently evaluating other means of payment and further Swiss locations for LNG filling stations. Future plans include the opening of an LNG filling station in Eclébens in the canton of Vaud in 2024. (ben)
