Liberalising binational road freight transport

In future, road hauliers from Switzerland and Russia will be allowed to transport goods between the two countries as well as transit journeys through the two states without a permit.

The representatives of the Swiss Confederation and the Russian Federation have signed an amendment to the bilateral agreement to this effect.

International road traffic between Switzerland and Russia has been regulated by a bilateral agreement since 2015. Under this agreement, permits are required for both bilateral and transit traffic. The two countries have now agreed to relax the regulation. (ben)
