Less CO2, more capacity, reliable transit times

DB Cargo Full Load Solutions (DB Cargo FLS) expanded its intermodal offering with several new trade lanes in 2023. They also allow companies without their own sidings to transport their goods by rail.

New additions last year included the German trade lane between Nuremberg and Hamburg and the international trade lanes between Sweden and Italy, Germany and Italy, and the Netherlands and Italy.

The routes are designed as round trips, with trucks deployed for pre-carriage and onward carriage. According to DB Cargo FLS, intermodal transport not only saves CO2 compared to pure road shipments, but also offers a higher payload and predictable transit times. (ben)
