Less clouds in the coffee

The insolvent Bremen-based German freight forwarder Diedrich Meyer, which specialises primarily in coffee transport, is becoming operational again. With effect from March 2021 the joint venture B-LOG Bulk Logistik, which is made up of the Brake-based L.I.T. Group and the port logistics company J. Müller Weser, has taken over the shares in the firm.

The activities range from port logistics for green coffee to transport and contract logistics. All 22 employees of Spedition Diedrich Meyer will be taken over.

The fifth generation of Spedition Diedrich Meyer, founded in 1897, had entered insolvency due to liquidity problems caused by declining sales and delayed payments as a result of the Corona pandemic. (sh)
