Last of twelve new locomotives handed over
Czech Railways has received the last of the twelve EffiShunter 300 locomotives ordered from the Czech manufacturer CZ Loko. The railway is using the new units for shunting at stations and depots throughout Czechia.
Czech Railways purchased the EffiShunters as a substitute for the somewhat unreliable class 714 engines. The EffiShunter 300 was developed by CZ Loko as the smallest locomotive in its product range. The two-axle locomotive is equipped with a CAT C13 328kW engine, with a maximum speed of 60km/h. (ben)
