Large Tier 1 distribution space gained in USA
Yusen Logistics has acquired ownership of Taylored Services, a US multichannel 3PL fulfilment organisation. The deal expands Yusen Logistics’ warehouse network for contract logistics in key distribution areas of USA and further strengthens its end-to-end supply chain portfolio with specialised services, such as omnichannel retail, wholesale, and e-commerce fulfilment.
The take-over also allows Yusen to tap Taylored Services' automation solutions to provide fast and reliable options for e-commerce and direct-to-consumer processing.
The purchase agreement includes eleven distribution centres strategically located near main ports at the East and West Coasts, totalling 270,000 sqm of Tier 1 distribution space. The Yusen Logistics and Taylored Services names and brands will remain in place. (ben)
