Kukla in Calais
In February 2022, forwarding company Robert Kukla set up an office in Calais, its first location in France. With Kukla France, the Munich-based logistics service provider is expanding its network to a total of twelve branches in nine countries.
Kukla France is a joint venture of the Kukla Group. The majority of the shares are owned by Robert Kukla in Munich. The British Robert Kukla UK and MD Tom Lokere are also among the shareholders.
In addition to his education in freight forwarding, Lokere holds an executive MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE). He also graduated from Oxford University with a degree in international finance and blockchain technology.
The regional focus in France includes intermodal transports, international beverage logistics in close cooperation with Robert Kukla UK as well as organising transports on the last mile. Against this background, Kukla France also plans to invest in its own trailers in the medium term. (sh)
