Kuehne + Nagel: a GXP compliant area in Chicago
Kuehne + Nagel has opened the expansion of its Chicago facility containing a new GXP compliant area. At one of the company’s largest healthcare facilities, the expansion features 1,951 sqm of temperature-controlled space with separate areas to support climates from +2°C to +25°C, designed specifically for healthcare operations.
“This investment allows our customers and future customers to further improve the quality of their temperature-controlled supply chain with end-to-end temperature handling in our facility,” said Greg Martin, senior vice president, air logistics at Kuehne + Nagel.
The opening follows the company’s move from Elk Grove Village to Bensenville, which doubled available warehouse space and allowed import and export to take place in one facility. Healthcare is one of six primary growth areas in Kuehne + Nagel’s Roadmap 2026. (mk)
