Korean Air: Vienna calling!

Korean Air Cargo is recording rising cargo figures at Vienna Airport. In the pandemic years 2020 and 2021, tonnages increased by more than 40%, and the South Korean airline reported steadily rising growth rates in the first five months of 2022 as well.

Korean Air Cargo uses Vienna Airport as its main logistics hub for Europe, with a particular focus on freight for the automotive industry in Central and Eastern Europe.

The Korean company already operates up to 13 flights per week to the Austrian capital and expects further increases in tonnages. This makes Vienna the airline's busiest airport in Europe. Korean Air Cargo has transported more than 535,400 t of cargo to and from Vienna Airport so far. (cj)
