KN's Canadian cold chain
Kuehne + Nagel (KN) has opened a cold chain fulfilment hub in Canada for its partner Medtronic, a manufacturer of medical devices and technology. The 25,000 sqm site features capacity for storage and distribution as well as service and repair workshops. Medtronic will use the temperature-controlled centre to deliver its products to local hospitals.
As Canada’s healthcare market and thus its need for logistics services continues to grow, KN has identified this sector as one of the key targets in its roadmap for 2026. Medtronic, meanwhile, is looking to enhance its supply chains and provide services for time-critical products.
The location in Milton, Ontario, gives KN’s partner access to Toronto within 50 km, which will boost its local presence and collaboration with hospitals and institutions. (mk)
