Kiwi Rail to invest in freight fleet
According to a press release, New Zealand’s rail operator Kiwi Rail has entered into an over USD 50 million rail wagon contract with China-based CRRC Qiqihar Rolling Stock. Under the relevant disclosure rules for transactions exceeding USD 50 million, Kiwi Rail has ordered 450 flat-top rail wagons from CRRC.
It is expected that CRRC Qiqihar will deliver the new wagons rail before the 2019 peak freight season. (ben)
