JV founded to deploy FCEV

Oilinvest and Quantron will build a hydrogen-based refuelling infrastructure to supply fuel cell electric heavy trucks (FCEV). The two companies have signed a strategic partnership agreement to create a JV. Hemtron will be based in Hamburg, Germany, and will help accelerate the decarbonisation of road freight in Europe.

Oilinvest subsidiaries operate around 2,450 filling stations under the Tamoil brand in Europe including Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, and the HEM brand in filling stations in Germany.

Starting in Germany, Hemtron is tasked to secure the supply of hydrogen refuelling stations at locations near transport hubs such as logistics centres and highway networks. (ben)
