Jumbo swap bodies save time
Germany-based freight forwarder Würfel is investing in jumbo swap bodies that feature a transfer plate for loading cargo into other swap bodies. This means that both jumbo swap bodies of a vehicle can be loaded or unloaded at the same time, using only one gate on the ramp for this purpose.
With an internal height of 3.00 m and a width of 2.48 m, the jumbo swap bodies co-developed by Würfel offer 19 pallet spaces. The loading area is 7.71 m long. The dimensions of the Würfel jumbo swap bodies thus correspond to those without a through-loading facility.
Würfel specialises in transports with jumbo swap bodies and refrigerated vehicles. The medium-sized full service provider operates 18 locations in Germany, Poland and Hungary and schedules more than 400 vehicles and over 1,000 swap bodies every day. (ben)
