Joint development of dedicated cargo airport

Yusen Logistics (China), a Chinese subsidiary of the Japanese company Yusen Logistics, has established a joint venture company in Ezhou, Hubei Province, China, and will start the cargo terminal operation at Ezhou Huahu Airport (EHU), which opened in July 2022, with the scope to become one of the largest air cargo hubs in Asia.

In 2021, YLCN established the joint venture company Ezhou Yusen Dadao Zhongcai Logistics with Hubei Dadaozhongcai Import and Export Service. YLCN will launch cargo terminal operations and cargo charter arrangement services at EHU in May 2025.

On 24 March, a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction initiation of the cargo terminal was held with the attendance of ambassador Kenji Kanasugi of the Japanese embassy in China (third from right) and Chinese government officials. (ah)
