IWSA explores perception of wind propulsion
The International Windship Association (IWSA) reports that it has launched a survey to assess industry perceptions of wind propulsion technology and low or zero-emission vessels.
As wind-powered ships gain traction, the study aims to identify barriers to wider adoption and to comprehend the perception of the segment. Survey results will be shared at the Wind Propulsion Asia Summit, hosted by IWSA during Singapore Maritime Week, 25-26 March, before being made publicly available on wind-ship.org.
The summit, held in collaboration with key maritime organisations, will address challenges and opportunities in wind-propulsion technology. "The findings will support discussions and debate around the issues facing the sector," says IWSA Secretary General Gavin Allwright. (js)
