IRS celebrates half a century
The Indian Register of Shipping (IRS) is celebrating its 50th year, marking half a century of dedication to maritime safety, quality, and innovation. Commemorative initiatives include the unveiling of a new logo to symbolise progress and collaboration, and the launch of a new strapline, "Powered by passion. Driven by values.", which reflects its commitment to excellence, integrity, honesty, and respect, IRS said.
Additionally, the register has introduced a new flag representing its global maritime commitment and a teaser for an upcoming corporate video.
Executive chairman Arun Sharma thanked stakeholders, partners, and employees for their support over the years. The golden jubilee celebrations will include various events, initiatives, and collaborations to reinforce IRS's position in maritime classification and certification. (pb)
