While Columbia has been employing Vietnamese seafarers through third-party arrangements so far, the creation of CSM Vietnam marks a significant step in its broader initiatives in Vietnam and the Asian region.
By offering manning solutions in Vietnam, Columbia reinforces its commitment to investing in local talent while expanding its global footprint and supporting its diverse crew and clients' evolving employment needs.
Vietnam's maritime sector has witnessed substantial growth, with a doubling of its fleet since 2005. This expansion gives Columbia an opportunity to cultivate a skilled crew pool, emphasising training and career development. (pb)
