Intermodal terminal under new leadership
The Arken Intermodal Terminal at the Outer Port, one of the terminals at the Port of Gothenburg, Sweden, is getting a new operator. The recently signed lease agreement with the terminal company Gothenburg Roro Terminal will come into force on 11 December 2022.
The Arken Intermodal Terminal covers an area of 65,000 sqm adjacent to the port’s container and ro-ro terminals.
Arken is used for the transhipment of containers or trailers between ships, trains, and trucks, for onward transport into the Swedish hinterland or abroad. With its seven railway lines with a total track length of 3,360 m, the terminal focuses primarily on handling rail traffic. (ben)
