Intermodal specialist welcomes 1,500th DAF truck
With the arrival of a XF 480 FT 4x2 tractor, the Swiss logistics company Bertschi has officially put its 1,500th DAF truck into service. The new tractor joins the group’s international fleet, ensuring a timely distribution of chemical products in Europe.
Established in 1956 in Dürrenäsch, Switzerland, Bertschi is a family-owned business specialising in intermodal transports of chemicals by rail, road, and water. Additionally, it is a global provider of ISO tank transports and logistics services for the chemical industry.
The company owns more than 46,000 tank and dry-bulk containers and operates a fleet of 1,000 trucks. Bertschi selected the DAF XF for its outstanding efficiency, safety and driver comfort, the company said. (ben)
