Integration completed
On 1 November 2022, freight forwarder Spedition Lode was finally rebranded Gebrüder Weiss Waldkraiburg, following a transition phase of operating under the name of GW Lode.
The international transport and logistics company Gebrüder Weiss acquired Spedition Lode in late 2021. Based in Upper Bavaria, the freight forwarder will expand GW’s network in southern Germany. The Waldkraiburg location, which specialises in land transport, distribution, and warehouse logistics, is situated 70 km east of Munich.
“By integrating this operation, we have been able to consolidate our land transport network in Bavaria and can now serve markets in Germany, Austria, Central and South-East Europe with an even greater level of efficiency,” says Werner Dettenthaler, GW’s regional manager land transport Germany. (sh)
