Innovative technology for freight cars
The European wagon leasing company Ermewa is intensifying its cooperation with the Competitive Freight Wagon (CFW) initiative. As part of a preliminary project, the course is to be set for the first application of the freight wagon concept.
Ermewa and the initiative’s partners will draw up a real operating and deployment concept for the first application on the basis of existing services and customer relationships by mid-2019.
The newly developed production concept will now be specified. This includes, inter alia, the definition of the chassis with its components, the car body, the electrical equipment and wagon intelligence. (ben)
