India's online boom drives logistics business

In India, a big international player has chosen the Logos Logistics Estate in Luhari, approx. 60 km north of the capital Delhi, for a new business venture. Geodis is about to launch a multi-user facility to serve the retail sector.

Developed by Logos, one of Asia Pacific's logistics property groups, the new warehouse is dedicated to contract logistics for the Indian market, which is, according to Geodis' press release, "currently experiencing unprecedented demand" due to ongoing upturns in online shopping and omnichannel platforms.

The 26,700 sqm warehouse will store goods in both selective and very narrow aisle (VNA) pallet racks. It is strategically located within close proximity to other large industrial clusters, including Bawal, Bhiwadi and Dharuhera, and the central business districts of Gurugram and Delhi. (sh)
