Increased trailer capacity to and from Sweden

The leasing company GATX has handed over 15 intermodal railcars to new customer Samskip, which will deploy the T3000e railcars on its high-frequency routes for intermodal traffic between Germany and Sweden.
The new vehicles will enable the combined transport specialist to further expand trailer capacities on its railway network between Duisburg (Germany) and Sweden.

The T3000e railcar is a six-axled double-pocket wagon suitable for the transport of craneable semi-trailers (with steering axles) and mega-trailers, as well as of swap bodies and 20′, 30′, 40′ and 45′ ISO containers.

The T3000e is one of around 200 different wagons in GATX’s fleet, which consists of more than 27,800 railcars. (ben)
