In-house software for Dachser
Digitalisation is making progress. Dachser has acquired an unspecified majority stake in the software provider Kasasi in Germany. The full takeover will be completed in a series of intermediate steps by 2026.
Like Dachser, the medium-sized company Kasasi, which employs 50 people, is based in Kempten in the Allgäu region. The two companies have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
Since its foundation in 2009, Kasasi has been developing software products to optimise multimodal transport processes and make them transparent.
Stefan Hohm, chief development officer (CDO) and member of the Dachser management board: "Kasasi's platform combines the telematics data from our more than 8,500 swap bodies and 5,000 trailers with the shipment and planning data from our transport management system."
