Improving efficiency and road safety
The Germayn-based Nosta Group has completely replaced its in-house vehicle fleet. The full-service logistics provider has now put 34 new vehicles from the Mercedes-Benz Actros 5L series on the European road networks.
According to Nosta, upgrading the fleet is a further step towards greater efficiency and increased road safety. The safety features include the "mirror cams", which show the drivers what is happening next to and behind the truck via displays in the vehicle.
The intelligent cruise control ensures efficiency. The system uses 3D maps and automatically recognises the correct acceleration and shift points. This can save up to 5% fuel, says Nosta. (ben)
