Improved intermodal Puerto Rico service
The two transport companies Tote and STG are teaming up to deliver a faster rail-barge combined service to the Caribbean island. The solution represents the fastest rail-focused service to and from Puerto Rico from anywhere in North America, the two partners say.
The combination of STG’s inland network, ramp access, rail relationships and modern equipment with Tote’s three-day transit time between Florida and Puerto Rico follows an increasing demand for a more efficient rail-and-barge-shipping solution. To further increase the efficiency of their services, the two companies also plan to investment in technology and infrastructure. (ben)
