ICTSI Pakistan welcomes CWX service

The port of Karachi’s Pakistan International Container Terminal (PICT), owned by International Container Terminal Services Inc (ICTSI), recently welcomed the inaugural call of a China–India link. The China–Indian west coast X-Press service (CWX), which is operated by Xpress Feeders, KMTC, and T.S. Lines, is a fixed-day weekly service.

The maiden call of the 5,470 teu ‘Barbara’, one of six vessels in the direct connection between central China and the Indian west coast and Pakistan, took place in November. The service sails from the port of Shanghai to Ningbo, Shekou, Singapore, Port Klang, Nhava Sheva, Karachi, Mundra, Colombo, Port Klang and Hong Kong before returning to Shanghai. (cd)
