IAPH pushes future fuels at CEM15 event in Brazil

At the clean energy ministerial meeting (CEM 15) which was held in Brazil this week, IAPH participated in the clean energy marine hubs (CEM Hubs) event, focusing on accelerating the development of renewable fuels transport.

Greece, which represents 20% of global shipping, joined the initiative, along with new partners such as the World Economic Forum’s transitioning industrial clusters initiative, ABS, and Lloyd’s Register’s maritime decarbonisation hub.

Eduardo Kantz of Prumo Logistica presented the IAPH future fuels toolkit, outlining its port readiness level for marine fuels (PRL-MF) self-assessment tool. The CEM Hubs initiative aims to de-risk and scale the production, transport, and use of low-carbon fuels globally, with the support of governments and key shipping organisations. (pb)
