Hupac introduces “train radar”
After several months of successful testing, the Swiss network operator Hupac has now introduced the “train radar” software. The tool enables full supply chain visibility to all parties involved in a train journey.
"Train Radar" registers all trains running on the Hupac Intermodal network and provides fast and reliable information on the key questions of intermodal transport. For instance, the system includes train running information in real time or helps customers to estimate when the units will be picked up at the terminals.
Currently, this service is online for the Busto Arsizio-Gallarate terminal in Italy. The implementation in further terminals is planned for the coming months. (ben)
