Hupac introduces new East-West solution via Kaliningrad
The Swiss intermodal operator Hupac has launched a new multimodal connection between Germany and Russia, CIS countries and the Far East. The service is performed in cooperation with ERS Railways and Mann Lines.
The central element of the service is the link via the port of Kaliningrad in Russia with onward connections to Hamburg in Germany by short sea shipping provided by Mann Lines. In Hamburg, ERS Railways offers a wide range of connections to southern Germany and to Italy, directly from the pier.
In Kaliningrad, Intermodal Express takes over the shipments and delivers them to a great variety of destinations in Russia, Kazakhstan, Georgia and other CIS countries, up to China, Japan, Korea and south-east Asia. (ben)
