HMM launches its own FIL service
The South Korean carrier HMM, member of The Alliance, is launching the Far East-India-Latin America Service (FIL), a new regular container shipping route.
The link will connect Busan to the Eastern Coast of Latin America. The service will commence on 7 December, a 5,000 teu container carrier will be deployed.
The port rotation will be as follows: Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shekou, Singapore, Kattupalli, Durban, Santos, Paranagua, Itapoa, Navegantes, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Busan. It will take 84 days for the container carrier to make a round trip on this route. (sh)
