Highly scalable cargo model for LCCs

Following the signature of an MOU in November last year, Teleport, an integrated logistics solutions provider based in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), announced that it will be managing the exclusive commercial rights of the belly space of Vietjet Air Cargo's four times weekly New Delhi (India) – Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) service. Both partners agreed to better serve the growing air cargo demand coming in and out of Southeast Asia.

Teleport CEO Pete Chareonwongsak (4th from right): "When we combined Air Asia's belly capacity as one and built it on a TCM foundation using technology, we learned how to help low-cost airlines maximise their passenger belly capacity. Air Asia’s ancillary revenue contribution by Teleport grew from 2% (USD 50 million) in 2018 to 6% (USD 162 million) in 2023." (ah)
