Highly automated truck on public roads
Commercial vehicle manufacturer Iveco and autonomous driving specialist Fahren Plus are starting to test their jointly developed, highly automated truck on public roads in Germany. The trials will be extended to Austria, Italy and Switzerland in the coming months.
The test drives will serve to validate the vehicle's operation and begin planning for potential factory production.
he Plus Drive-enabled Iveco S-WAY has been developed to improve safety, efficiency and the driving experience for drivers and provide a more sustainable option for fleet operators. (ben)
