Higher eco premiums for e-trucks in Germany
Save emissions and receive a climate bonus as a reward - that is the idea behind the GHG (greenhouse gas reduction) quota.
The German truck insurer R+V and its subsidiary Kravag help companies and private individuals to get the money. For e-trucks, the legislator has now increased the premiums: From now on, more than 15 times as much money is available through the R+V Group.
The premiums for electric trucks are staggered, R+V explains. For trucks from 3.5 t, the subsidy rate increases significantly. In the past, it was possible to apply for a premium of around EUR 250 per year for electric vehicles. Today, the annual climate bonus for e-trucks is up to EUR 4,100. (ben)
