High-capacity car-carriers now in operation
Transfesa Logistics has added the first train made up of 18 of the 100 new car-carriers manufactured in Poland to its international traffic network.
The wagons are specially designed to respond to new trends in the automotive market, where the production of large and heavy vehicles, as well as electric cars, prevails. The units have the capacity to circulate both Iberian gauge (1668 mm) and UIC (1435 mm).
The 100 car carriers are 31 m long and equipped with an innovative regulation system that allows the upper deck to be placed in any desired position. According to Transfesa, this is the company's largest investment in state-of-the-art rolling stock. (ben)
