HGT takes a majority stake in CNMP LH

Hanseatic Global Terminals (HGT) has completed the acquisition of a 60% stake in CNMP LH from the Seafrigo Group.

CNMP LH operates the Atlantique container terminal in Le Havre, a key hub for global trade. The Seafrigo Group retains a 40% share, continuing its focus on temperature-controlled food logistics. Le Havre, one of Europe’s ten largest ports, handles 3 million teu annually and serves as France’s main gateway for maritime transport.

The CNMP LH terminal is expected to see growth, particularly in reefer container handling. “With this acquisition we’ve strengthened our position in a core European market, whilst expanding our terminal portfolio. This investment directly supports our ‘Strategy 2030’,” said HGT CEO Dheeraj Bhatia.

Seafrigo Group president Eric Barbé added that “with HGT as a partner we’ll modernise CNMP LH, further establishing it as a key container gateway in Le Havre.” (ah)
