Helping victims of another hurricane
Delta Cargo has supported the consulate general of the Dominican Republic in New York to ship approximately 3.2 t of generic medicines and non-perishable canned meals from New York (JFK) to Santo Domingo.
Consul Eligio Jaquez: "Part of the food and provisions provided by the Dominican community in New York and with facilities offered by Delta Airlines, began to arrive in the DR to support the victims of Fiona in this region."
Preceding Hurricane Ian, which mostly hit Cuba and Florida's Gulf Coast at the end of last month, Fiona was the third of this year's Atlantic hurricane season and mostly impacted the Caribbean and Canada.
