Hefring Marine completes funding round
Hefring Marine, an Icelandic deep-tech company specialising in intelligent maritime solutions, has successfully raised EUR 2.2 million in a funding round led by Faber Ventures, with participation from Innoport VC, Two Ravens, MD-One, Riverstone Ventures, Idlewild Management, and Sukna Holdings.
The investment will accelerate the growth of Hefring Marine’s AI-driven Imas system, which optimises vessel operations for safety, efficiency, and sustainability by providing real-time data analysis and decision support. The funding will be used to expand the team, enhance sales infrastructure, and further develop the Imas solution.
Hefring Marine's technology, already helping to reduce fuel use and harmful wave impacts, is employed in sectors including search and rescue, defence, law enforcement, and tourism. The company plans to participate in major industry trade shows and aims for a larger financing round in late 2025. (pb)
