Heavy transport provider opts for sustainable fuel
Iveco has delivered the very first low-floor LNG-fuelled vehicles to Arcese. Following the agreement with its strategic partner, the Italian forwarder put four new LNG-fuelled Iveco Stralis NP 460 trucks into service this month, April 2019.
The goal is to test the performance and use of this type of vehicle in heavy transports. In addition to being quieter than diesel engines, this type of tractor reduces NO2 emission by 90%, PM by 99%, and, if biomethane is used as fuel, CO2 by 95% compared to equivalent diesel versions. (ben)
