Green week in Barcelona coming to an end

In the port of Barcelona, APM Terminals has been celebrating the annual ‘Go Green’ event during the week of 23-27 September, which aims to raise awareness among the entire port community for the respect and protection of the environment.

During these days, talks, workshops and activities were held in the hub’s facilities. This is the fourth year that APM Terminals Barcelona has joined the ‘Go Green’ campaign and it is celebrating the acquisition of four electric vehicles and the installation of solar panels for its power supply. With their deployment, the terminal will stop emitting, annually, 1.07 t of carbon monoxide.

Igor Van Den Essen, head of terminals Europe at APM Terminals, and Mercé Conesa, president of the port of Barcelona, are actively participating in the ‘Go Green’ events, supporting the energy transition project initiated by APM Terminals Barcelona. (fd)
