Good figures in Croatia
In Croatia, Gebrüder Weiss (GW) has crowned a so far strong business year with the opening of a new logistics terminal. The company was able to increase its shipment volumes in land-based traffic in the first half of 2020 by an impressive 15% compared to the previous year.
Furthermore, the home delivery market is one of the most important drivers of economic growth in Croatia and expanded by more than 30% over first eight months of 2020.
“With the new logistics terminal we aim to continue our 20 year old success story in Croatia,” says Thomas Schauer, regional manager GW Süd-Ost.
The Austrian company has invested around EUR 18 million into extending its location near Croatia’s capital Zagreb. The hub features 18,000 sqm of logistics space, including warehouses to store dangerous goods. (sh)
