GLS Germany: deliveries by H2 truck
The hydrogen truck is in service in the greater Cologne-Bonn area. It has a tank capacity of 31 kg of hydrogen, which allows it to cover up to 380 km per tank.
In cooperation with the GLS partner company Recht Logistik and the vehicle hire company Hylane, GLS uses the truck for groupage transports on the main section of the route and for customer parcel collection. So far, the vehicle has covered over 8,500 km with low emissions.
GLS now operates more than 700 zero- and low-emission trucks, with the fleet to increase to around 900 vehicles by the end of the current financial year. (ben)
